Media Library: Files

Your File Library is where you can store and utilize files such as PDFs, Zip folders, .TXT files and other documents that you need to store or share with your website visitors. Once a File is uploaded, you can use the page editor to add a link to that file on any of your pages.

This is a great tool for creating an EPK (Electronic Press kit). Zip up your high-res photos, Bio, and Mp3s in a folder and upload them to your File Library. Now you can create a page on your site where press agents, bookers and promoters and download your vital stats with one click!

How to Upload a File

  1. In the Site Builder, click "Files" under Media Library
  2. In the window that appears click "Upload New File"
  3. Then click "choose File" to select the image from your computer.
  4. Click Open
  5. Click "Upload to Server"

That's it. You've uploaded an Image!

Uploading Multiple Files at Once

Uploading more than one file at a time is a cinch and the process is almost exactly the same. Just make sure that all the files you want to upload are in one easy to find folder on your computer.

  1. Click the Files under Media Library
  2. In the window that appears click "Upload New File"
  3. Then click "choose File" to select the image from your computer.
  4. Locate the files you want to upload in the pop-up window.
  5. Now hold down your ctrl key and use your mouse to select each photo you want to upload. Then click "open"
  6. Click "Upload to Server"

Linking to a File in your File Library

Once you've uploaded your file to the File Library, you'll be able to create a link to that file. How you do this depends on where you're making this link.

For ATS user, links on Site

For ATS users, this is actually pretty easy to do. So long as you have your file uploaded in the File Library, you can easily make a link to this file using the Add File tool.

Links in ListBaby and other places

This is a bit more challenging - the hardest part is finding the URL to you files.

The default path to files in the File Library are:

http://yourdomain.com/files/FILENAME

Just replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain, and "FILENAME" with the exact name of your file.

Once you have that URL, you can use ListBaby's HTML editor to make a link to that file, or you can simply share that URL with whomever you want to grant access to that file.
